Madalena is a Portuguese artist whose practice developed in parallel with an academic background in science. She holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry, a training that continues to inform her approach to painting through discipline, observation, and a structured creative process.

Rather than existing as separate paths, art and science converge in her work. Analytical rigor meets intuitive expression, shaping a practice that values precision as much as atmosphere, and method as much as emotion.

Her paintings are conceived to inhabit space with presence and quiet strength, offering compositions that feel deliberate, grounded, and visually assertive.
